APRIL CLASSES
PRIVATE LESSONS are available Monday - Thursday 5 - 9 pm; Scheduled by appointment.
Private lessons can greatly enhance, and improve your dancing experience. If you have never tried one, this is a great time to see what happens with your dancing in just a few lessons.
GROUP CLASSES:
Mondays -7 pm - B2 , - Beyond the Basics of Dance. - this is a continued class. For those that have taken the B1 and or B1/2 levels and are ready to move into the next level of dance. This class works in the six core dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Single Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and American Tango. We will also work with room direction, lead/follow, connection, frame and add new dance patterns.
Mondays - 8 pm - Wedding Dance Class - Final 4 weeks. This class is for beginners and anyone can join. You do not have to be getting married to join this class. Wedding couples, parents, friends are all welcome. Partners are required for this class. We will work in Waltz, Foxtrot, Single Swing, Rumba, Country 2 Step and Night Club 2 Step. We will work on Frame/connection, lead/follow, room directions and some technique.
Tuesdays - 7 pm - B1 class -NEW CLASS - For those with little or no knowledge of dance. This class will give you the Basics of Dance, the foundation to build on to become a dancer. This class works in the six core dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Single Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and American Tango. We will work on frame,connection and room directions.
Tuesdays -8 pm - B2+ Class - Beyond Basics continued. (Students in this class have taken at least 36 weeks of class or 3 sessions). We will reveiw where needed, and add patterns and some technique. We will work in the six core dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Single Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and American Tango, adding to what you already know. We continue to work on connection, lead/follow, room directions and technique.
Thursdays - 6 pm - B3 class - B1 and B2 levels have been completed. This is a continued class and students are almost done with this level. Teacher Approval is recommended to join this class. This class works in the six core dances: Waltz, Foxtrot, Single Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and American Tango. It will add Triple Swing and other dances as the others become comfortable. We will continue to add technique and patterns.
Thursdays - 7 pm - S1/2 Class - Students in this class have completed all levels (B1, B2 and B3) in the Bronze syllabus and have to moved to working on the Silver level of dance. We will continue to review some Bronze steps, work more on technique and partnership, and continue to add patterns and new dances. Teacher approval required to attend this class.
UPCOMING EVENTS
DFI FRIDAY PRACTICE PARTY - A Practice party is just that - a way for students to come into a familiar surrounding and practice dance - meet new friends - have fun!
Next Practice Party: Friday, April 24th 7-10 pm A variety of music will be played.

BIG SKY STATE GAMES DANCESPORT COMPETITION - Saturday April 18th - 9am to 3 pm (prox) Skyview Gym - Dancers of all levels are welcome to compete. Freestyle is in the morning and Showcases are in the afternoon. If you arent competing than please come cheer the dancers on. Montana is one of the only states with this competition in the games. Please help to keep it there, by competing and/or being there for the dancers.
ARTS PARTNERS DANCE SHOWCASE - Satuday April 25th - Area dance studios perform a variety of dances. This is a charity event for The Brain Injury Foundation supporting the Kids Summer Programs. 7 pm Lincoln Center Auditorium ($10/pp prox)

Calendar Key:
- B1 - Beginning - Little or No dance experience
- B2 - Beginning Level 2 - Basics of dance learned - 6-12 mo exp.
- B3 - Intermediate Level - 1 -3 yrs exp.
- S1 - Advanced - 3+ Years experience and Teacher Approval
All classes are Progressive and build on each other from week to week, working on the six core dances.
The six core dances are: Waltz, Foxtrot, Am. Tango, Single Swing, Cha Cha and Rumba.
Other dances are introduced from time to time and can be learned by attending Specialty Classes.
