DECEMBER CLASSES

PRIVATE LESSONS are available  Monday - Wednesday  5 - 9 pm; Scheduled by appointment.

Private lessons can greatly enhance, and improve your dancing experience.  We recommend taking one Private weekly along with your group class.   This is a great time to see what happens with your dancing in just a few lessons.

GROUP CLASSES:  All group classes work in the six core dances (listed below).  We also work on Technique, room directions, lead/follow, frame and connection at the appropriate levels for each class.

Mondays -7 pm -  B2 Class - Beyond the Basics of Dance. - This is a continued class.  For those that have taken the B1 or B1/2 levels and are ready to move into the next level of dance. We will also work on steps already learned and add new dance patterns.

Tuesdays -6 pm  - B2+ Class - Beyond Basics continued.  We will review where needed, and add patterns in each of the six core dances adding to what students already know.  

Tuesdays - 7 pm  - B1 Class -  For those with little or no knowledge of dance.  This class will give you the Basics of Dance, the foundation to build on to become a dancer. Two to four steps are introduced in each dance. Rhythm patterns, music tempo and timing are all introduced.  

Thursdays - 6 pm - B3 Class - B1 and B2 levels have been completed. This is a continued class with students in this class having completed the six core dances.  New dances will be introduced while starting on some Silver Level patterns.  Teacher approval is recommended to join this class. 

Thursdays  - 7 pm - S1/2 Class - Students in this class have completed all levels (B1, B2 and B3) in the Bronze syllabus and  are working on the Silver level of dance.  We will continue to review some Bronze steps, work more on technique and partnership, and continue to add patterns and new dances. Teacher approval required to attend this class.

The Studio will be closed from December 17th - January 3rd.

 UPCOMING EVENTS

DFI  FRIDAY  PRACTICE  PARTY - A Practice Party is just that - a way for students to come into a familiar surrounding and practice dance - meet new friends - have fun!

  • This year in lieu of a gift exchange we will be donating items for the Elderly to Family Services. Please ask for details.

Calendar Key:

• B1 - Beginning - Little or No dance experience
• B2 - Beginning Level 2 - Basics of dance learned - 6-12 mo exp.
• B3 - Intermediate Level - 1 -3 yrs exp.
• S1 - Advanced - 3+ Years experience and Teacher Approval

 All classes are Progressive and build on each other from week to week, working on the six core dances. 

The six core dances are: Waltz, Foxtrot, Am. Tango, Single Swing, Cha Cha and Rumba.  

Other dances are introduced from time to time and can be learned by attending Specialty Classes.
